Iverify was notified by panic alarm that a frequent shoplifter had just left the location on foot. Iverify panned the store’s outside area via the outside Pan Tilt Zoom camera. Iverify did not see anyone fitting the suspect’s description.
The suspect was described as a black male wearing a black winter hat, black leather coat and black pants. The suspect was also described to security as being the same shoplifting suspect that had shown a gun to the store’s manager in a previous shoplifting incident.
Suspect Activity
Upon receiving a physical description of the suspect, Iverify reviewed the location’s video. The suspect was seen entering the location and going directly to the health and beauty aisle. The individual was seen taking several unknown items and placing them in his coat. The suspect was then seen exiting the location. At the time that the suspect exited, Iverify was contacted.
Iverify Response
Due to the frequency of this individual coming to this particular store, and the fact that the manager stated the suspect is known to have a weapon, Iverify dispatched the police via Operator 5.
Iverify also notified the store manager that Iverify would connect to the location via video around the same time the suspect is known to enter the location (approximately 13:20 PM) for the next few days. If the suspect is seen, Iverify will notify the police immediately.
