With over 25 years experience in money management and private equity investment, Joe Gfoeller is currently the Managing General Partner of GMG Capital Partners, LLC., a New York-based venture capital firm investing primarily in technology-driven companies. Prior to co-founding GMG, Mr. Gfoeller was one of the founding partners of Stolberg Partners, a New York based buyout fund and also served as a vice president of the money management firm, Weiss, Peck & Greer.
In addition to his professional responsibilities, Mr. Gfoeller speaks Spanish, Portuguese and German, is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and is an active supporter of classical musicians through The Gfoeller Foundation, Inc.
Mr. Gfoeller holds a B.A., magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, in International Studies from Ohio State University, an M.A., with honors, Economics/Latin American Studies from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and an M.B.A., Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
