After a considerable amount of planning and negotiations, Iverify has completed the move of its Charlotte, NC-based headquarters from its previous 8,000 square-foot building to a 40,000 square-foot facility on 15 acres.
The company, which paid $4.5 million for the building and plans an additional $2.5 million in upgrades, required more space in order to better service its national client base following a period of strong growth, coupled with plans to more than triple its employment by year end.
“We are very excited about the role this new facility plays in dramatically growing our customer base and expanding our employee force,” said Mike May, President and CEO of Iverify. “The move into this more sophisticated space gives us the room and the tools to service our national footprint more effectively.”
The move has also given Iverify room to expand its video monitoring center, the “I”, one of the largest and most sophisticated of its kind in the United States. A larger monitoring center enables Iverify to more effectively monitor and secure its clients, which include national retailers, financial services firms, retail banking, major automotive, major construction and public utilities.
Other plans for the state-of-the-art campus include the development of an interactive store and/or bank to showcase Iverify’s security offerings and solutions at work.
“In the past we’ve taken potential clients to view an existing customer’s secured location and that can involve sensitive proprietary issues,” said Chris Brown, Senior Vice President of Operations. “Soon we will be able to just walk across the building to illustrate our security solutions in a real-world setting.”
As part of Iverify’s commitment to professional and social interaction within the security community, the new facility will also host a fully-functioning development center where industry leaders, corporate partners, governmental agencies and law enforcement can convene for speaking engagements and educational seminars.
