Innovative security company, Iverify, announced today that it has secured an additional $4 million in funding. The latest round of financing will support continued growth in 2009 as Iverify actively seeks to acquire companies with strategic technology and products to enhance their leading-edge security and customer care services.
“Throughout Iverify’s history, the company has been backed by prestigious capital investors. In December 2007, Iverify closed a $21 million capital round with RBC Centura Bank and a private equity sponsor,” said Mike May, President and Chief Executive Officer of Iverify. “Just one year later, we’ve secured another $4 million follow on investment from our lead equity investor as validation of our progress as a company and the value our team has created over the last year.”
While many businesses have experienced a substantial decline over higher operating costs, lower sales and a difficult economic environment, Iverify has firmly held its ground. In 2008, Iverify moved its Charlotte, NC-based headquarters from an 8,000 square-foot building to a 40,000 square-foot facility – located at 150 Iverify Drive – to support growth from 48 employees at the beginning of the year to 115 employees in December.
Following the move, Iverify also launched a major rebranding effort with the roll out of a new logo and corporate identity, sales collateral and website. The company continues to move forward with growth initiatives, including the deployment of a significant technology investment in the company’s infrastructure later this month.
