Business-security and law-enforcement expert Mike May, President and CEO of Iverify, recently addressed a group of investors, entrepreneurs and leaders from the Charlotte, North Carolina, business community at the 2008 Business Innovation & Growth (BIG) conference, on the importance of venture capital.
On the heels of securing a $21 million investment – one of the largest venture-capital deals in Charlotte in recent years, Mike was part of an informative break-out section on the topic of “Life as an Angel-Backed/Venture-Backed Company.” The half-day program included other notable presenters, including Terry Cox, President & CEO of BIG, and Ed Crutchfield, former Chairman and CEO, Wachovia and Angel Investor.
